- We
provide transcription services to a range of companies and
organisations including, Solicitors, Private Individuals,
Government Departments, Sole Traders, Limited Companies and
Local Authorities. one-to-one interviews, group interviews,
telephone transcription, conference transcription, police
station interviews, steering committee meeting transcription,
working group meeting transcription and corporate meetings.
We also have the facilities to
undertake the transcription of specialist time-stamped Police
station interview tapes.
In addition, VHS tapes are
accepted for transcription.
Verbatim Transcription is
a full transcript of everything that is said in the recording
which includes the common 'ems' and 'ers', 'you know', 'etc.
These types of transcripts are often required by the legal
profession for police interview transcripts.
We supply
transcription services to a wide range of individuals, and
companies utilise outsourcing due to the inherent costs in
maintaining in-house staff. Our transcription services will
improve the productivity of your staff by freeing up their time.
We do not outsource any work; you outsource to us. Transcription
costs are usually met as disbursements by the Legal Services
Commission.

- Transcription of
Audio Tapes
- Generally, we are able to provide
transcripts of, for example, police interviews within at least 7
days from date of receipt. However, there may be some
variability of timescales and clients are always advised to
inform of any urgency, or special requirements in advance of
sending tapes, in order to establish accurate deadlines.
Many police interviews or covert recordings of conversations
contain background noise, prolonged silences, blurred speech and
variable tape quality, this can often make these tapes difficult
to transcribe. Our highly trained staff are experienced in
transcribing tapes of this nature.
- We can transcribe from CD,
DVD, Cassette, Dictaphone Mini and Micro Cassettes, Video,
WAV, and MP3 files. Actually we can transcribe from most
formats.

Community Legal Service (CLS)
Solicitors who use their own office staff, for example Audio
typists and office juniors, to transcribe recordings are
unlikely to meet our high standards of accuracy and quality.
Moreover, if work is done by the firm of solicitors 'in house',
the Community Legal Service are not usually willing to meet the
costs; these are considered to be part of the general overheads
of the legal practice taking on the case.
However, if the work is sent out to an independent agency such
as ourselves, the costs can be recovered, providing that prior
authority is applied for. In our experience and knowledge, an
application for prior authority based upon our costs has yet to
be turned down.
